A Cage Sampler IS a also called a weighted bottle sampler. It is a sampling device that uses a line attached to a cork that has been inserted into a bottle. At a specific depth the operator pulls up on the line removing the cork from the bottle allowing it to fill. It's a very simple device that has been used for years by the oil industry to sample large tanks..
